Biology & Python Expert – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a Biology and Python expert to design and validate computational biology problems for AI training projects. The role is freelance, project‑based and fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise to real‑world research challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational biology problems that mimic real research workflows.
• Create problem statements that require Python programming (using Numpy, SciPy, BioPython, Pandas) to solve.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Develop challenges involving non‑trivial reasoning in bioinformatics, systems biology, and molecular modeling.
• Base tasks on actual research questions or practical applications from biology practice.
• Validate solutions with Python and standard computational biology libraries and provide verified answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Biology or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research, teaching, or data analysis.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Numerical and scientific libraries: Numpy, SciPy, Pandas, BioPython.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, or Stata (any equivalent programming language).
• Experience with biological data analysis, bioinformatics tools, and computational methods.
