About the role

The Before School Instructional Provider (BSIP) supports expanded learning programs by delivering instructional activities before the regular school day. Working under the Site Supervisor of Expanded Learning, the provider helps TK‑12 students engage in academic enrichment and ensures a safe, supervised environment.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement before‑school instructional activities as directed by the Site Supervisor.
• Provide classroom instruction for students ranging from transitional kindergarten to grade 12.
• Supervise students during before‑school programs to maintain safety and order.
• Support the overall school day by coordinating with teachers and staff.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 48 college units or successful completion of the district’s proficiency test.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license or state/federal identification.
• CPR and First Aid certification desirable.
• Must meet ESSA requirements: Associate of Arts degree or 48 semester units; candidates lacking units must test prior to interview.
