AWS DevOps Engineer (Linux) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with strong Linux background to join our client’s engineering team on a remote, project‑based basis. You will work closely with designers and developers to build, automate and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for mission‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Administer Linux production servers, perform patching, security hardening, backups and integrate with Active Directory.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, automate builds with Maven, Gradle and support Java (Spring) and Node.js applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server).
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments.
• Monitor systems using Splunk, Dynatrace or similar tools and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, contribute to code libraries and resolve complex issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Proven ability to work independently on remote projects.
