AWS DevOps Engineer (Linux) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with strong Linux background to join our client’s team remotely across Latin America. You will work alongside designers and engineers, delivering infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and supporting Java and Node.js applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and harden Linux production servers, including patching, backups, and AD integration.
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet or Chef.
• Build, deploy and support Java (Maven/Gradle/Spring) and Node.js applications.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Artifactory and container orchestration using Docker.
• Monitor systems using tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace and ensure security best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree (four‑year college).
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum teams on large, complex systems.

Required skills

• Linux server administration and security hardening.
• Python, Bash scripting.
• AWS services and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef).
• Docker and container deployment.
• CI/CD tools: GitLab Pipelines, Artifactory.
• Monitoring tools: Splunk, Dynatrace.
• Relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Java build tools: Maven, Gradle, Spring framework.
• Node.js runtime environments.
