AWS DevOps Engineer (Linux) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with strong Linux expertise to join our client’s team remotely across Latin America. You will work side‑by‑side with designers and engineers, delivering high‑quality infrastructure and automation for cloud‑native applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and harden Linux‑based production environments, including patching, backups, and AD integration.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Build, deploy, and support Java applications (Maven, Gradle, Spring) and Node.js services.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet or Chef.
• Automate provisioning across on‑premises and AWS cloud environments.
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab Pipelines, Artifactory).
• Monitor systems using tools like Splunk or Dynatrace and ensure security best practices.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Linux servers and production environments.
