AWS Cloud Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure for our clients on a contract basis. This fully remote position offers flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week and competitive hourly rates.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision and maintain AWS environments using core services such as EC2, S3, RDS and VPC.
• Configure identity and access management (IAM) policies and network settings.
• Automate infrastructure deployment with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot incidents using CloudWatch and related tools.
• Develop and maintain operational scripts in Bash and Python to improve efficiency.
• Ensure security compliance across all cloud operations.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Strong Linux administration background and Bash scripting skills.
• Ability to write automation scripts in Python.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
