About the role
We are seeking an Autism Paraprofessional to provide direct support to students with autism in a classroom setting. Working under general supervision, you will help students integrate into group activities, develop independence, and succeed academically.
Key responsibilities
- Assist students individually or in small groups within a structured classroom environment.
- Support behavioral management, instructional activities, and daily routines as needed.
- Facilitate student integration and promote independence in academic and social settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized plans.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 48 college/university semester units or successful completion of the district proficiency test.
- Experience in childcare, psychology, education, or training of autistic students; experience in a structured environment preferred.
- Valid California driver’s license or State/Federal ID.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
