Assistant Finance Controller

About the role

The Assistant Finance Controller will join the Americas Finance Hub in Costa Rica, supporting the Brazil business unit. You will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, analysis and control, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Brazil financial reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet and regional reports with insightful commentary.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, corporate accounting policies and local regulatory requirements.
• Execute and monitor financial controls aligned with global finance processes.
• Review financial results, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and validate accounting documentation.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to improve reporting quality and drive process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting or reporting, preferably in a multinational or shared‑services environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and strategic thinking abilities.
• Advanced English (C1) and intermediate Portuguese.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills in a matrix organisation.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, data analysis).
• Knowledge of IFRS and internal control frameworks.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Experience with financial reporting tools.
