Asistente Legal – Cobro Judicial y Embargos

About the role

LatamLex, a regional network of six leading law firms in Central America, is seeking a Legal Assistant to support its Judicial Collections and Seizure department. The position is full‑time, onsite at the Escazú office, and involves preparing legal documents, managing embargo procedures, and providing administrative assistance to the legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file legal documents related to judicial collection processes.
• Manage bank account and salary embargoes.
• Track and follow up on embargo resolutions.
• Review and periodically update the status of judicial files.
• Assist in monitoring processes from filing the claim through subsequent stages.
• Coordinate and follow up on notifications, including notarial notifications.
• Maintain up‑to‑date internal records and controls for assigned matters.
• Provide administrative support to the legal team.
• Handle client communications and requests concerning managed cases.

Required profile

• Current law student.
• Knowledge of Civil Procedural Law.
• Previous experience in legal or administrative assistance.
• Experience with judicial collection processes, especially monitorio procedures, is a plus.
• Familiarity with full judicial collection workflow, including demands, notarial notifications, embargoes, and procedural follow‑up.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
