About the role

PwC is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support its finance team in San José. You will help ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards while contributing to a collaborative and high‑performing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Record transactions, perform reconciliations, and maintain accounting ledgers.
• Assist in the financial close process and support risk‑management activities.
• Ensure compliance with PwC’s internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify process improvements and suggest practical solutions.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Accounting or a student of Public Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related administrative roles.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under ambiguity.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, tables, basic data analysis).
• Knowledge of accounting processes, transaction recording, and reconciliations.
• Experience with balance‑sheet analysis, budgeting, cash‑flow analysis, and financial forecasting.
• Familiarity with financial close procedures and data‑mining techniques.
