About the role
We are looking for an Analyst who will combine planning and buying responsibilities within our Global Operations & Quality team. The role supports the delivery of cardiovascular medical devices by ensuring material availability for customer demand and new product introductions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the manufacturing production plan from the Master Production Schedule and project requirements, managing issues such as non-conforming materials, equipment availability and capacity constraints.
- Generate and monitor work orders in the Manufacturing Enterprise system, coordinating with production, quality, microbiology and engineering teams.
- Plan material requirements, negotiate pricing and delivery with external suppliers, and place purchase orders to support production schedules and product launches.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve obstacles, including non-conforming material, unclear specifications or vendor capacity limits.
- Analyze inventory levels, VMI status and recommend releases, while expediting orders from receipt through inspection to production stores.
- Participate in the Material Review Board, handling supplier-related quality issues and disposition decisions.
- Maintain gross inventory targets, develop action plans to reduce excess and obsolete parts, and manage equipment acquisition through the Capital Procurement Assets process.
- Identify and execute cost-reduction initiatives and ensure compliance with standard cost for assigned commodities.
Required profile
- Experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling or supply-chain procurement, preferably in a regulated environment such as medical devices.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess capacity, resource availability and inventory data.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a Manufacturing Enterprise system (ERP) for work-order creation and tracking.
