AI Solutions Engineer

About the role

Harris is seeking a hands‑on AI Solutions Engineer to design and build the platform for next‑generation AI‑enabled healthcare products. You will own the API and AI gateways, create production AI agents, and lead a growing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement CareTracker’s API gateway with routing, authentication (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT), rate limiting, versioning and monitoring.
• Build an AI gateway on LiteLLM to route traffic across model providers (Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI), handling fallbacks, caching, cost tracking and PHI redaction.
• Develop AI agents and multi‑agent workflows using LangChain/LangGraph, including state, memory, retries and human‑in‑the‑loop steps.
• Integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers/clients for secure data access and add observability with OpenTelemetry and Langfuse.
• Write production code in Python.NET (C#) and TypeScript, set coding standards, and define safe API exposure for Oracle, Postgres, HL7, FHIR and other services.
• Engage with external healthcare customers to discuss FHIR, HL7, HIPAA and PHI handling, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building distributed systems or platform services.
• Proven experience designing and operating API gateways and AI systems in production.
• Strong background in healthcare interoperability (FHIR, HL7) and HIPAA/PHI compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
