Accounts Payable Team Lead

About the role

The Accounts Payable Team Lead will supervise and coordinate a dedicated AP team to deliver timely, accurate, and high‑quality services to agencies, vendors, and shared service center stakeholders. The role blends people management, operational oversight, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure compliance with controls and KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, coordinate and monitor the AP team’s daily workload, ensuring balanced distribution, operational efficiency and minimal downtime.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, monthly 1:1 sessions and provide coaching to foster professional growth and a customer‑focused culture.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of AP processes, identify improvement opportunities and support business migrations, expansions and new implementations.
• Collaborate with agencies and internal counterparts to resolve operational issues, ensure alignment and uphold service‑level expectations.
• Manage administrative tasks such as payroll coordination, incident reporting, fixed‑asset controls and other team‑related activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations or Shared Services environments.
• Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating a team.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities across multiple functions.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to monitor KPIs, identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish preferred depending on business needs.
