Accounting Operations Manager

About the role

The Accounting Operations Manager leads the core accounting functions—General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable—ensuring accuracy, efficiency and high‑quality service across the organization. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role acts as a bridge between finance leadership and cross‑functional teams, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop accounting teams in General Accounting, AP and AR, establishing clear performance expectations and service standards.
• Design, implement and maintain standardized procedures and SOPs, ensuring compliance with internal controls and US GAAP.
• Identify process gaps, champion automation and system enhancements, and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency.
• Support ERP optimization and integration projects to improve data integrity and reporting capabilities.
• Provide regular performance reporting and insights to finance leadership.
• Strengthen internal controls, manage compliance initiatives and mitigate financial risk.
• Coach, mentor and retain team members, overseeing workforce planning, time tracking and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams across General Accounting, AP and AR.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead process‑improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and change‑management skills.
• Experience overseeing ERP optimization and integration efforts.
