Accounting Manager – Central America

About the role

The company, a multinational manufacturing leader, seeks an Accounting Manager to ensure the financial integrity of its Central America operations. The role involves supervising the full accounting process, implementing internal controls, and delivering accurate financial information for corporate consolidation under SAP FI/CO and Central Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the monthly close and prepare local and corporate IFRS financial statements.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and critical reconciliations.
• Validate tax calculations (VAT, income tax) and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Manage internal and external audits, transfer pricing processes, and remediation plans.
• Oversee the use of SAP FI/CO, Central Finance (CFIN) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for consolidation and reporting.
• Approve customs declarations, tax‑exempt invoices, and payment proposals.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISRS compliance and promote safety, health, and environmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; postgraduate studies preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
• Experience coordinating audits and managing consolidation processes.
