Accountant I – Accounts Receivable

About the role

TE Connectivity is seeking an Accountant I focused on Accounts Receivable to support its US, Canada, and Mexico processes. The role provides analytical and operational support across cash application, client credit management, disputes, and collections.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain customer accounts, reconcile open items, and identify unpaid items.
• Prepare Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) documentation, including process maps and work instructions.
• Execute cash collection activities: send reminders, communicate via sales channels, and interact directly with customers.
• Perform cash management tasks such as cash allocation and bank‑statement reconciliation.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies; monitor delayed or non‑payments.
• Support escalation handling for AR, credit issues, and dispute resolution.
• Generate periodic O2C reports and KPI measurements.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives within the O2C function.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Build strong relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders.
• Assist in migrating O2C processes across the Americas to the San Jose, Costa Rica hub.

Required profile

• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to collaborate across all organizational areas.
• Accounting background (preferred) and undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Experience in a financial shared‑service environment supporting multiple countries (preferred).
• Familiarity with diversified industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Comfort working in culturally diverse teams.
