Account Manager / Senior Account Manager, Global Sales

About the role

Join the Global Sales team at American Airlines and help shape the future of airline retailing. You will work directly with corporate and agency customers across Central America, creating tailored travel solutions while representing the airline at key events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute value‑based sales strategies to position American Airlines as the preferred supplier.
• Partner with key accounts to design customized travel solutions that drive revenue and passenger share.
• Analyze customer data through online, telephone and in‑person meetings to identify growth opportunities.
• Coordinate programs with field and staff departments to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and correspondence to support sales activities.
• Communicate product updates to stakeholders and represent the airline at sponsored events.
• Travel across a 4‑5 country region as needed to support account management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, revenue management, revenue analysis or other airline commercial teams.
• Preferred experience in airline or B2B sales.

Required skills

• Ability to operate in a highly competitive environment.
• Strong communication skills with senior executives.
• Expertise in account strategy development and execution.
• Understanding of modern retailing approaches.
• Knowledge of airline distribution technologies such as NDC, online booking tools and GDSs.
