About the role

Trade and Law Services (TLS) is expanding its regional presence in the Cobano and Santa Teresa area of Costa Rica. The firm seeks a Regional Associate Lawyer to develop business relationships, support local clients, and act as TLS’s representative in this strategic market.

Key responsibilities

• Represent TLS and strengthen its institutional presence in Cobano, Santa Teresa and surrounding areas.
• Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, developers, real‑estate brokers, investors and other strategic actors.
• Identify and channel opportunities for legal, fiduciary and closing services.
• Provide initial in‑person assistance and ongoing follow‑up for national and international clients.
• Coordinate legal matters with TLS’s specialized practice areas, including corporate, real‑estate, notarial, litigation, insurance, trusts and escrow.
• Participate in business meetings, networking events and professional positioning activities.
• Support the execution of due‑diligence, procedural steps and legal services as required.

Required profile

• Law degree and active membership in the Costa Rican Bar Association.
• Professional or verifiable residential link to the Tamarindo/Cobano area.
• Advanced professional English.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on long‑term relationship development.
• Excellent communication, professional presentation and sound legal judgment.
• Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with the firm’s institutional structure.
• Responsible handling of confidential client information.
