VP Engineering / Head of Engineering for AI-native Airline Catering Platform

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on VP Engineering / Head of Engineering to lead the technical vision and delivery of Galley Xᴬᴵ, an AI‑native airline catering SaaS platform serving global airlines and catering customers. The role combines deep technical ownership with senior people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the platform architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive end‑to‑end delivery of features, from design through production deployment.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a senior engineering team across the Americas.
• Maintain high code quality, DevOps discipline, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI product engineering, integrating LLM‑based agents, RAG, and prompt design into the live product.
• Manage cost, data‑privacy, auditability, and hallucination risk for AI components.

Required profile

• Senior engineering leader with a track record of shipping production SaaS platforms.
• Proven experience delivering AI/LLM features in real‑world enterprise software.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, remote environment across Americas time zones.
• Strong decision‑making ability, balancing hands‑on coding with strategic leadership.
