Vice President, Engagements & Issue Quality Control Lead

About the role

The Vice President, Engagements and Issue Quality Control Lead will oversee non‑regulatory audits and issue remediation across the business, ensuring timely reporting, data‑driven insights, and sustainable corrective actions. This senior position partners with internal audit, operational risk, compliance and other control functions to maintain high standards of governance.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a centralized view of all planned non‑regulatory engagements, tracking scope, impact and status.
• Design and deploy technical reporting solutions to communicate progress to senior management and trigger escalations when needed.
• Analyse issue themes, root causes and trends using analytics tools to propose targeted remediation.
• Establish and nurture a network of key stakeholders in control functions to facilitate collaboration during engagements.
• Advise business units on audit scope, draft response reviews and challenge adequacy before submission.
• Execute Issue Quality Control activities throughout the issue lifecycle, assessing pervasiveness and ensuring compliance with issue management standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in coordinating non‑regulatory audits, issue management or related compliance functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams such as Internal Audit, Operational Risk Management and Compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior leadership and influencing stakeholders.
