About the role

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for receiving, preparing, analysing and controlling samples in accordance with established procedures. The role ensures reliable results, compliance with safety standards and high quality of laboratory processes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, identify, register and classify samples following standard procedures.
• Verify sample condition, quantity and preservation status before analysis.
• Prepare samples, reagents, materials and solutions required for testing.
• Conduct analytical tests according to laboratory methods, instructions and protocols.
• Perform quality‑control checks and record results.
• Document results, sample movements, material consumption and other required information in the laboratory information system.
• Report out‑of‑specification results, non‑conforming samples, equipment damage or inconsistencies promptly.
• Apply procedures for handling, storage and disposal of biological, chemical or hazardous waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work areas.
• Comply with occupational safety, biosafety, good laboratory practices and internal company policies.
• Support additional technical and operational laboratory activities as required by immediate supervisors.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Quality Control or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in laboratory work, sample analysis or quality control.
• Experience in animal feed laboratories is desirable.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instruments, reagents and materials.
• Understanding of good laboratory practices, safety regulations and waste management.
• Familiarity with recording and controlling results using computer systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Immediate availability.
