Technical Services Consultant – Data Migration

About the role

As a Technical Services Consultant specializing in Data Migration, you will support the implementation of the FreeBalance Accountability Suite for governments worldwide. You will apply your ERP implementation expertise to design, develop, test, and deploy the FreeBalance Government Resource Planning (GRP) solution, ensuring seamless data exchange and system integration.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and customize web services using SOAP and REST standards for integration between FreeBalance GRP and external systems.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize BI reports and dashboards with BIRT and other tools such as JasperReports, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Pentaho, or Apache BI Suite.
• Design, tune, and optimize ANSI SQL queries across multiple database platforms for performance and accuracy.
• Work with data structures—including data cubes, dimensions, and fact tables—to support accurate reporting.
• Deploy, configure, and optimize application servers (e.g., Apache Tomcat) and monitor system performance.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and post‑implementation support to in‑country teams and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ERP implementation and system integration.
• Strong knowledge of SOAP/REST APIs and web‑service integration.
• Hands‑on experience with BI and dashboard tools, especially BIRT.
• Excellent English proficiency; additional language skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
