Technical Consulting Engineer

About the role

The Technical Consulting Engineer provides advanced technical support for Splunk Cloud technologies, handling complex cases from investigation through resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Own and resolve complex technical cases, coordinating with customers, partners, Engineering and internal teams.
• Build lab setups and customer recreates to reproduce and isolate issues.
• Submit critical issues, bugs and quality defects with complete information.
• Leverage software, diagnostic, AI‑assisted automation tools to improve resolution speed and quality.
• Produce and share scripts, documentation and training for internal audiences and customers.

Required profile

• Senior technical consultant with expertise in at least one area and broad knowledge of integrated solutions.
• Independent problem‑solver with systems‑level thinking.
• Clear communicator who builds relationships and mentors junior engineers.
• Curious technologist who uses labs, AI and automation to improve outcomes.

Required skills

• Advanced technical support experience in cloud technologies.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Linux and Splunk product deployment.
• Lab environment creation and defect isolation.
• Use of AI‑assisted automation, diagnostic tools and software scripting.
• Technical writing and knowledge‑sharing (scripts, digital signatures, documentation).
