Technical Business Analysis - Professional I (AS400 Programmer Analyst)

About the role

This role supports the continuity and evolution of critical solutions that underpin reliable and efficient financial operations. The analyst provides technical expertise to analyse requirements, develop enhancements and resolve incidents with a customer-focused approach, working with both local and remote teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client requirements and turn them into clear, functional technical solutions aligned with program standards.
• Develop, maintain and enhance IBM iSeries (AS400) applications using platform tools and programming languages.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve software incidents, functional inquiries and enhancement requests with minimal supervision.
• Execute testing, document solutions and validate results.
• Collaborate with project managers, users and remote teams to share progress, priorities and risks.
• Support client training and help users understand implemented solutions.
• Comply with internal policies, development processes and change management controls.
• Provide after-hours support, work across time zones and travel when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• 4 years of experience programming on IBM iSeries (AS400) using RPG, RPGIV, RPG ILE, SQLRPG and CLLE.
• 4 years of experience with IBM iSeries ADTS tools such as SEU, RLU and SDA.
• 3 years of experience debugging, performing impact analysis and resolving incidents in AS400 environments.
• 3 years of experience with source control or change management tools such as Aldon CMS.
• 3 years of collaboration in English and Spanish with remote teams and clients; advanced English proficiency.
• Preferred: experience supporting critical enterprise applications, documenting requirements and test cases, working under delivery methodologies, training users and maintaining IBM iSeries services.
