Supply Chain Planner

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Distribution Requirements Planner to manage and optimise inventory distribution across its supply chain network, ensuring product availability while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain distribution requirements plans to balance supply and demand across regional and global networks.
• Monitor inventory levels at distribution centres, proactively addressing potential stock‑outs or excess.
• Analyse demand forecasts, production plans and transportation constraints to generate efficient replenishment strategies.
• Collaborate with demand planning, supply planning, logistics and commercial teams to align on service levels and inventory targets.
• Use advanced planning systems (SAP ECC, APO, S/4HANA, Blue Yonder) and ERP tools to generate and optimise distribution plans.
• Track KPIs such as backorder, product availability, OTIF, forecast accuracy, freight, inventory turns and obsolescence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably distribution requirements planning.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience interpreting large data sets.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
