Sr. NPI Molding Engineer

About the role

Freudenberg Medical is seeking a senior engineer to lead the development, optimization and validation of injection molding processes for new product introductions and manufacturing transfers. You will act as the technical owner of molding process development, ensuring stability, repeatability and quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, characterization, optimization and validation of injection molding processes for NPI projects.
• Apply Scientific Molding methodology to define process windows, controls and performance targets.
• Design, execute and analyze DOE studies, mold characterizations and process capability assessments.
• Develop and run IQ, OQ and PQ validation protocols in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze process and quality data with statistical tools to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with tooling, quality, manufacturing, validation, supply chain and project management teams to ensure successful launches.
• Provide technical input during DFM and tooling design reviews and resolve complex molding issues.
• Mentor engineers, technicians and manufacturing staff on molding process development and Scientific Molding principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of injection molding process development, optimization and validation experience.
• Proven expertise in Scientific Molding and DOE methodologies.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (B2+).
• Experience in regulated environments, preferably medical device manufacturing.
