Sr. Manager, Supply Chain

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Global SIOP/SIOE function for its Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry business unit. The role will shape demand and supply planning, capacity management and inventory optimization to support the delivery of innovative analytical instruments and consumables worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own and transform the global SIOP/SIOE process across demand planning, supply planning, capacity management, inventory optimization and execution, aligning with the annual operating plan and growth strategies.
• Lead business‑unit SIOP governance, drive structured decision‑making, risk visibility and alignment with senior leadership.
• Translate business strategy into actionable supply‑chain plans, balancing service, cost and cash while enabling scalable growth.
• Drive end‑to‑end supply‑demand balancing, scenario planning and mitigation strategies across capacity, materials and inventory.
• Elevate SIOP maturity by implementing advanced planning tools, predictive analytics and standardized processes across regions.
• Influence senior stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Procurement to deliver integrated outcomes.
• Oversee global order‑book governance, backlog execution and revenue conversion.
• Lead resilience initiatives, establish early‑warning systems and mitigate risks across the global supplier and manufacturing footprint.
• Partner with manufacturing and supplier leadership in Asia, Europe and North America to align capacity and sourcing strategies.
• Define and monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory health, capacity utilization and productivity.
• Champion continuous‑improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading SIOP/SIOE or integrated supply‑chain planning functions in a global, multi‑site environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross‑functional alignment at scale.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of implementing data‑driven planning solutions.
• Experience managing complex product portfolios in analytical or scientific instrumentation is a plus.
