Spanish Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This contract position is for a Spanish Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality, consistency, and trainer performance of Spanish AI training projects. Working remotely, you will evaluate AI‑generated Spanish content and the work of trainers and QA reviewers, ensuring it meets detailed project rubrics.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Spanish text and trainer/QA outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to guidelines.
• Provide precise written feedback in English and Spanish, documenting recurring issues and updating guidelines.
• Support onboarding of new contributors, maintain quality documentation, and reactivate inconsistent contributors.
• Communicate quality trends to remote trainer and QA teams and help shape quality workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish with strong reading and writing abilities.
• Excellent command of English for guideline interpretation and feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Spanish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or similar language‑review workflows.
• Familiarity with both Latin American and European Spanish variants and ability to specify supported variants.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Spanish grammar, punctuation, accents, tone, register, and cultural context.
• Ability to assess content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, unnatural phrasing, missing accents, hallucinated claims, and inconsistent terminology.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QA specialists.
