Senior Software Engineer – Java & Database Development

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Java‑based applications and relational database solutions that support our global business operations. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and report to the Senior Director of Development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain Java applications supporting business operations.
• Create and optimise database objects such as tables, views, and stored procedures.
• Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and performance optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing Java applications (Java 8+ preferred).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL query optimisation.
• Experience with Agile development environments.
