Senior React Native Engineer – Remote (Colombia/Costa Rica)

About the role

We are seeking a senior software engineer to lead the development of React Native mobile applications and the supporting backend services. The role is fully remote, serving teams in Colombia and Costa Rica, and involves taking features from design through production while collaborating with product, design, analytics, and engineering partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test and launch end‑to‑end product experiences across React Native apps, APIs and backend systems.
• Deliver complex full‑stack features, handling mobile UI, client‑side state, API design, data modelling and production operations.
• Define technical plans and architecture for major features and maintain clear contracts between mobile and backend services.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, observability, incident response and production support.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record shipping production mobile apps with React Native and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience designing, developing and operating backend APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of mobile engineering practices such as performance, offline handling, testing and release management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
