Senior QA Engineer

About the role

Moody's is hiring a Senior QA Engineer in Heredia, Costa Rica, within its Digital Content & Innovation team, which owns the strategy and delivery of moodys.com and its AI Studio. The role focuses on automated testing across web applications and APIs, helping deliver reliable, scalable and innovative digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies and plans, choosing approaches based on project requirements and risk assessment.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks with reusable components, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
• Run end-to-end, API and performance testing to validate functionality, data integrity and system performance under load.
• Work with developers, product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements, guide testing and report quality metrics and defect status.
• Analyze test results, document bugs with reproduction steps and help development teams prioritize fixes by severity and business impact.
• Maintain test documentation, test data sets and quality dashboards, and give testability feedback during code reviews and design discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Economics or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience writing and running complex test cases, including end-to-end, API and performance/load testing.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Cypress, TypeScript, Postman, Jest and Jira.
• Preferred: Git, AWS CI/CD pipelines, AWS serverless services (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, Step Functions, EventBridge).
• Preferred: good understanding of AI concepts and interest in responsible AI practices.
