Senior Procurement Sourcing Specialist

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Procurement Sourcing Specialist to drive strategic sourcing initiatives that support global healthcare, research, and environmental protection. You will work within a collaborative team to deliver cost savings, manage supplier risk, and enhance supplier performance across multiple categories.

Key responsibilities

• Support cluster and category leaders in executing initiatives that meet key performance indicators such as savings, supplier rationalisation, low‑cost region sourcing and risk management.
• Prepare and communicate performance reports for assigned categories, covering spend under agreement, joint innovation and supplier performance.
• Develop deep expertise in major spend categories, procurement processes and Source‑to‑Pay systems.
• Monitor compliance with sourcing strategies, address supplier performance issues promptly, and facilitate supplier business reviews.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment with strategic sourcing processes.

Required profile

• Advanced degree with at least 6 years of procurement/sourcing experience in a large multinational, or Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience.
• Preferred fields of study: Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related.
• Project Management certification desirable; CPSM, CPIM or equivalent procurement certification preferred.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, category management and supplier relationship management.
