About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Movement Operations Associate to lead beneficiary‑facing activities in San Jose, Costa Rica. Reporting to the Head of Programmes and the Protection Coordinator, the role oversees field movement operations, ensuring safe and orderly travel for migrants and refugees under IOM’s mandate.
Required profile
- High school diploma with seven years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Social Science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field with five years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in movement operations, field support, transportation management, and coordination with embassies, government representatives, UN agencies and service providers.
- Fluency in English (oral and written) as required by IOM staff language policy.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for operational issues.
