Senior Lifecycle Designer (Contractor)

About the role

UN/COMMON is looking for a Senior Lifecycle Designer on a contract basis to lead email marketing and retention‑focused creative work for a portfolio of ecommerce brands. You will create high‑performing email campaigns, automated flows, and visual assets that drive customer engagement and support client retention strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce conversion‑focused email campaigns, lifecycle flows, and retention assets for ecommerce clients.
• Develop visual concepts, layouts, and systems that align with brand guidelines and business goals.
• Collaborate with retention strategists, marketers, copywriters, and other creative stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
• Manage projects from concept through final delivery while ensuring quality and consistency.
• Create motion‑based elements, GIFs, and lightweight animations to enhance engagement.
• Provide constructive design feedback during reviews and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Support occasional internal marketing or business‑development creative needs.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional design experience, preferably with ecommerce, DTC, or agency clients.
• Strong visual design foundation, including branding, layout, and typography.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• Portfolio showcasing email marketing, retention, and ecommerce design work.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto‑layout).
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Motion design experience, including GIF creation and familiarity with Adobe After Effects or similar tools.
