Senior IT Project Manager

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise‑wide technology initiatives that support our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You will work cross‑functionally, applying both traditional and agile methodologies to deliver strategic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large‑scale IT projects and programs from initiation through delivery.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget and resources using Agile, Scrum, SAFe or Waterfall approaches.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to ensure alignment and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate prioritisation, risk management and issue resolution across distributed teams.
• Maintain financial oversight, reporting and change‑management processes.

Required profile

• Advanced degree with 4+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years in IT project management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required; Agile/Scrum certifications preferred.
• Proven success delivering large enterprise implementations in regulated environments (GxP, SOX, HIPAA).
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
