Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Python) – Remote (Colombia/Costa Rica)

About the role

Gorilla Logic is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Full‑Stack with strong backend expertise in Python to join an established engineering team building and scaling an automated evaluation platform for agent‑oriented software products. This backend‑heavy, hands‑on role focuses on creating production services and durable workflows that evaluate third‑party applications via APIs and browser‑driven interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop long‑running background jobs and durable, resumable workflows using frameworks such as Temporal, Airflow, or Celery.
• Integrate with third‑party APIs, handling authentication, rate‑limiting, retries and partial failures.
• Build and improve browser‑driven automation workflows (Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium) when APIs are insufficient.
• Instrument evaluation pipelines for observability, logging, tracing and reproducible results.
• Deploy containerised applications through CI/CD pipelines to Kubernetes environments on AWS.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience building production backend applications with Python.
• Hands‑on experience with FastAPI or a comparable modern Python web framework.
• Proven ability to design, test and operate distributed systems and durable execution frameworks (Temporal, Airflow, Celery, etc.).
• Experience integrating with external APIs and implementing robust error‑handling and idempotency.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS.
