Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer

About the role

TD SYNNEX is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer to lead automation, AI‑augmented development, and enterprise‑grade infrastructure operations across its global platform. The role combines hands‑on engineering with strategic ownership of lifecycle design, observability, and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Champion an automate‑first culture: design reusable IaC frameworks with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Python; enforce PR governance and drift remediation.
• Drive AI‑augmented engineering: adopt GitHub Copilot, Claude, and AIOps tools; set standards for AI‑assisted development, code review, and documentation.
• Own full‑lifecycle infrastructure on VMware vSphere/ESXi, Nutanix HCI, Citrix DaaS, and Citrix NetScaler, including design, deployment, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Lead backup, disaster‑recovery, and storage strategy using Veeam and NetApp/HPE Alletra/Pure Storage.
• Manage Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/Rocky) administration at scale, including AD, GPO, kernel tuning, and security hardening.
• Design, deploy, and operate container platforms: Docker workloads, Kubernetes clusters (on‑prem, AKS, EKS, GKE), image governance, networking, RBAC, and multi‑tenancy.
• Own observability stacks (Grafana, Nagios), lead incident RCA, and implement self‑healing workflows.
• Mentor team members through code reviews, pairing, and creation of runbooks and training material.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure, automation, and cloud‑native technologies.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale platform initiatives and driving AI‑enabled engineering practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on reliability and security.
