Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Python, AWS / Backend Focus)

About the role

Software Mind is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who will spend most of their time building backend services with Python, SQL and AWS, while also contributing to server‑rendered front‑end work using HTML, HTMX and Jinja templates.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs, services and data pipelines in Python and SQL.
• Create data ingestion workflows via APIs and batch processing, replacing manual spreadsheet‑driven processes.
• Build and enhance server‑rendered front‑end components with HTML, HTMX and Jinja.
• Improve testing, performance, security, monitoring and data quality; troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in architecture decisions, technical planning and own projects from development through deployment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus.
• Excellent English communication (B2‑C1) for cross‑team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, lead technical efforts and deliver solutions in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Python, SQL, PostgreSQL (preferred) or MySQL.
• Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse.
• AWS services and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CDK, CI/CD pipelines).
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs or GraphQL, authentication and authorization.
• Unit and integration testing.
• HTML, HTMX, Jinja templates.
