Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to partner with our leadership in shaping financial strategy while ensuring precise, compliant bookkeeping. The role is fully remote, supporting US‑based operations from LATAM.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle month‑end close, including bank reconciliations, accruals and preparation of financial statements.
• Analyze P&L trends and deliver strategic commentary to leadership.
• Audit and improve existing financial workflows and technology stack to reduce manual entry.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting together with the Fractional CFO for project planning and hiring decisions.
• Review project‑based margins to ensure costs align with estimates.
• Develop and document internal financial controls and SOPs for scalability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accrual‑based accounting experience for US‑based companies.
• Strong understanding of US business structures, GAAP and compliance.
• Strategic thinker able to translate data into actionable insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (certified).
• Experience with modern receipt‑capture tools.
• Experience with accounts‑payable automation tools.
