About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for Grupo Unicomer, a leading retailer and financial services provider in Latin America. You will be responsible for technical and commercial analysis, supplier negotiations, contract monitoring, and cost optimization to ensure timely and cost‑effective sourcing of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct full procurement cycles, including tendering, quoting, and purchase order creation in Oracle.
• Monitor supplier performance indicators such as savings, compliance, and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with internal user areas to plan requirements for goods and services.
• Ensure compliance with internal audits, procurement policies, and controls.
• Track purchase order status, manage approvals, and communicate delivery updates to requestors.
• Support supplier certification by collecting, reviewing, and validating legal, technical, and commercial documentation.
• Prepare comparative matrices for quotation processes.
• Handle returns, claims, and adjustments with suppliers when discrepancies arise.
• Respond to internal queries regarding order status, supplier certification, and invoicing.
• Maintain organized digital records of procurement documentation and assist with general administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Experience managing procurement processes, including tendering and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to perform technical and commercial analyses to drive cost optimization.
• Strong coordination skills with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Familiarity with audit requirements and internal procurement controls.
