Sales Surveillance Assessor - Regulatory Risk Analyst

About the role

Citi is hiring a Regulatory Risk Analyst (titled Sales Surveillance Assessor) in Heredia, Costa Rica. This is a developing professional role within the Risk Management job family, dealing with most problems independently and integrating deep specialty knowledge with industry standards. It involves risk analytics, data quality monitoring and regulatory project support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide risk strategic analytics and information management across Citibank products, including data quality and controls for other teams and managers.
• Support regulatory risk project management (requirements, analysis and testing) for initiatives such as CECL, Part 30 core capabilities, stress tests and CCAR requirements.
• Perform business analysis to answer regulatory and business questions and give portfolio insights.
• Analyze data to monitor and track data quality and completeness.
• Manage deliverables for the Portfolio Risk Review chapter and help rationalize End User Computing (EUC) used for those reviews.
• Partner with clients, gather business requirements, draft and coordinate approval of Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and seek client feedback to drive change.
• Assess risk in business decisions, uphold compliance with laws and regulations, and escalate and report control issues transparently.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong Spanish, as some documentation is in Spanish.
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively at all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); preferred knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of the banking domain, risk management and basic credit policies.
• Experience in product program governance and risk management frameworks.
• Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, Series 63 and Series 65 licenses.
