Refrigeration Utility Technician III

About the role

The Refrigeration Utility Technician III is responsible for complex industrial maintenance and troubleshooting of ammonia refrigeration systems. Working with minimal supervision, you will ensure the facility’s ammonia infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of the industrial ammonia system, including exposure to water‑treatment chemicals.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance throughout the plant.
• Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to record work orders and document conditions.
• Apply Process Safety Management principles and support wastewater‑treatment operations.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts in accordance with standard production procedures.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects and provide feedback to management.
• Adhere to all safety rules, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Ability to work independently with little to no guidance.
• Possession of one or more refrigeration operations certifications.
• Willingness to follow safety regulations and contribute to improvement initiatives.
