Record to Report Period End Close Senior Analyst

About the role

Roche is seeking a Record to Report Period End Close Senior Analyst to join its Global Shared Services team in San José, Costa Rica. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, delivering advanced accounting support, complex financial analysis, and driving automation initiatives across multiple affiliates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting analyses and audit activities for assigned areas, ensuring technical accounting excellence.
• Prepare, review, and finalize complex financial statements and reports, managing month‑end close activities such as journal entries, cost allocations, and reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide clear, actionable insights to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies, US GAAP/IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
• Coach and review team members, contributing to cross‑functional initiatives and global projects.
• Drive continuous‑process improvements and support automation initiatives to increase R2R efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a Finance Shared Services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially SAP (FI, CO/PA, MM, FA, FCC).
• Experience with BlackLine for reconciliation automation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace.
