Quality Control Data Analytics Internship

About the role

Join CooperSurgical as a Quality Control Data Analytics Intern and support the development of statistical process control tools for IVF media and medical device manufacturing. You will work closely with QC engineers and laboratory staff to transform quality data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a Statistical Process Control (SPC) framework using control charts such as X‑bar/R, I‑MR, and CUSUM.
• Develop ETL pipelines or query scripts to extract quality data from the LIMS into an analytical environment.
• Build interactive dashboards that display SPC outputs, trend analyses, and key performance indicators for stakeholders.
• Document all tools, scripts, and methodologies in compliance with GMP documentation requirements.
• Perform statistical analysis to detect out‑of‑control signals and communicate findings to senior staff.
• Assist in validation activities, including preparation of user requirement specifications and testing protocols.
• Support training of QC personnel on SPC dashboards and visualization tools.

Required profile

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to data science, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of Statistical Process Control concepts and control charts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and follow regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python (pandas, matplotlib, scipy) or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, or Dash.
• Understanding of ETL processes and basic scripting for data extraction.
