Quality Assurance Engineer – Remote, $80/hr

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our remote team on an hourly contract basis. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications through comprehensive testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and QA documentation.
• Execute functional, regression, exploratory, user‑acceptance, and cross‑browser testing.
• Perform API testing and validate backend integrations.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear bug reporting.
• Participate in Agile workflows and contribute throughout the SDLC and STLC.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align product quality with requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience in manual testing for web and mobile applications.
• Proven ability to design test cases, test plans, and maintain QA documentation.
• Familiarity with regression, functional, exploratory, and UAT testing methodologies.
• Solid understanding of defect tracking and bug reporting practices.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
