On-site MEP Engineer – Luxury Project in Santa Teresa

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic on‑site MEP Engineer to join a luxury hospitality construction project in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. The role is fully onsite and requires relocation to a local village within the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to in‑house design, QS teams, third‑party designers, consultants and contractors.
• Review and evaluate Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing designs for compliance with project‑specific requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and managers to integrate MEP systems into high‑end architectural designs.
• Resolve technical issues promptly during the design phase to keep the project on schedule.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes and regulations for luxury‑grade systems.
• Assist in managing, controlling and tracking design changes and variations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Management.
• Minimum 3 years of on‑site construction experience with Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing systems.
• Proven experience on high‑end residential or hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards and regulations.
• Fluent English for communication with international management.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑organized, punctual and strong presentation skills.
