Manager, Cybersecurity Platform Operations

About the role

Progress is seeking a Manager to lead its Cybersecurity Platform Operations team. This hybrid role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on platform engineering to ensure the health and performance of the enterprise security tool stack.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Cybersecurity Systems Administrators and Platform Engineers.
• Manage service delivery, backlog prioritization, and resource allocation for enterprise projects.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs and SLAs for tool uptime, log ingestion integrity, agent health, and deployment coverage.
• Own the full lifecycle of security platforms (SIEM, EDR/XDR, CNAPP, SOAR, Vulnerability Management), including architecture input, deployment, integration, patching, upgrades, and retirement.
• Partner with Detection & Response and Engineering teams to integrate high‑fidelity data pipelines and automated response playbooks.
• Implement health‑monitoring, alerting, and auto‑remediation mechanisms for security agents and log sources.
