Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join Bayer’s dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will ensure production equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work in a clean‑room environment, applying Bayer’s Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) approach to drive productivity and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to minimise downtime.
• Maintain clean‑room behaviours and standards to prevent contamination.
• Document maintenance activities in the quality system for traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory to avoid stock‑outs and control costs.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues.
• Analyse and troubleshoot control‑system and automation malfunctions.
• Provide technical support for corrective repairs and equipment validation.
• Follow established maintenance procedures and track department KPIs for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma or technical degree in electromechanical, mechanical, electronic or electrical fields.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a technician in the medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics or food industry.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Good Manufacturing Practices preferred.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, PLC programs and specifications.
