M&A Associate – Investment Banking

About the role

Capital Financial Advisors is seeking a motivated Associate to join its San Jose, Costa Rica office. The role supports the execution of M&A and corporate finance transactions across Central America, the Caribbean, and the Andean Region.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models for valuation and transaction analysis.
• Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and transaction documentation.
• Conduct industry, company, and market research to support strategic recommendations.
• Coordinate due‑diligence processes and assist senior team members during client meetings.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high analytical standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or a related discipline is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
