Senior Manager, Controls Assurance & Advisory

About the role

Lead the day‑to‑day governance, planning and execution of Bacardi’s global SOX program, driving stronger business partnership, control optimisation and talent development. The role blends deep SOX expertise with practical judgment and clear stakeholder communication, guiding the function through complexity and change.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, scope, execute and report on the end‑to‑end SOX program, managing timelines, metrics and issue status.
• Drive SOX governance as controls are added, modified or retired, applying judgment to evaluations, deficiencies and remediation plans.
• Build trusted relationships with Finance, IT and business leaders, providing guidance on control requirements and risk decisions.
• Manage external auditor relationships, including reliance strategy, issue management and alignment on key judgments.
• Advance control automation, testing efficiency, analytics and responsible AI use to improve assurance quality.
• Lead, coach and develop a global high‑performing team, ensuring talent continuity and clear expectations.

Required profile

• Proven SOX and controls leadership with strong knowledge of business process and IT controls.
• Ability to translate complex information into concise, actionable messages for finance, IT and audit stakeholders.
• Experience developing high‑performing teams and future leaders through coaching and clear expectations.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, changing environments and leveraging technology to enhance assurance.
